Amos York, Sr. was born in 1941 to proud parents Mr. & Mrs. Robert Henry York.

Amos is the educational product of the Aldine Independent School District and Oral Roberts University External Education Department.

Amos has been married to the lady of his dreams, Pastor Ora Marie for 38 years.

Amos York, Sr. has a notable history in the community he serves. He successfully coached Little League Baseball, both in Memorial Park (National Little League) and in Northeast Houston (Texas Teenage League), for 17 years. Many of his teams won state championships, as well as a large number of his players, including three of his sons, went on to play at the College Level.

In addition, a dozen or so of them have played Professional Baseball. Most of the children he coached at that time are striving members of the community. They credit a lot of their success to the untiring devotion, exemplary example, and character development implemented in their lives through Mr. York.

The love and respect generated from this dynamic personality does not stop with the community. In fact, it has also infiltrated the lives of the children he pastors. Many of them refer to him as their "PAW PAW", rather than just Pastor or Apostle or Bishop York. A generation has passed through his teachings and most of them are still faithful followers of his ministry. Being ordained a licensed Apostle has not interfered with the humble and tender relationship he has established with children nor members of the ministries he serves.

A burning desire to reach souls for Christ has prompted him to write, and publish his first book titled, "SOUL WINNING - EVERY BELIEVER'S CALLING". Amos realizes that none of these miraculous works were done without the inspiration, and guidance of the undisputed Word of God. He enthusiastically acclaims "ALL THINGS ARE DONE THROUGH HIM"!

This great visionary has radically attacked the duties and tasks assigned to him by God with the same thrust and vigor he used for twenty seven years in the Corporate World where he excelled as a International Sales and Marketing Director. Every phase of his ministry has been achieved through professional planning and implementation. The "Buzz Words" Excellence in Ministry is the slogan to success. World Outreach Association- (A Global Network of Churches and Ministries) founded by him in 1996. He is the CEO and Founder of Christway Builders (A Design/General Contracting Firm), CEO and Founder of Glory Economic Development Corporation, which now operates as Glory Partial Hospital a successful Community Mental Health Center. As well as Grant Writing Ministry assisting in bringing financial restoration and redevelopment to the community.

He is also the CEO of Amos York Ministries A powerful Crusade Ministry Reaching the Lost in every nation His anointed Word Ministry has caused him to be in great demand all over the nation. Amos has created a positive atmosphere, which welcomes change that will promote and generate outstanding quality and performance to and for the people of God.
