The Desk Of The Chairman - Mr. John Davis

Hello, from the Chairman and Managing Director of Adonai Retreat Center. I am an ordained Minister of the Gospel and a Certified Christian Marriage counselor. I am a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and currently serve as an Associate Minister at a local Nacogdoches Church.

I am married to Linda M. Davis and we have a teenage daughter. I have one other grown daughter and four grown sons.

We received the vision to leave our jobs and do the work of the Lord full time in 1998 and 1999. We were instructed of the Lord to build a Christian Retreat Center. My wife and I prayed and asked God for direction and then began to search out some land on which to begin. During the time my wife and I were leading weekly Home Builder Groups in our home. The lord lead us to a 25.8 tract of land in the Piney Woods of East Texas, in a small town called Sacul. Adonai Retreat Center, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), Non-Profit Organization.

Currently we have a full gym that will house thirty-two and a dining hall that will seat fifty. We currently offer fishing, basketball, volleyball, and other out door activities. We also offer visitors to pick fresh fruit in season; currently blueberries, pears and plums.
